Nowadays we are doing a lot more banking services outside of Canada. Sometimes we want to send money to someone in another country (or receive money), purchase goods from another country, and even do banking in other countries. Trying to negotiate your way through the various options is really very challenging. As a bank teller you will represent your bank, and as such you are only supposed to be promoting the products and services of your bank. But it's important that you know how alternative payment methods exist -- and how they come in play with your job as a bank teller.
In this module we are going to explore alternatives to banking for sending and receiving money, paying for goods, and some of the ways we do banking in countries outside of Canada.
